This story is based on the "Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo. The characters in this tale, however, are completely different from the ones in the painting. The story is completely changed too.
Adam in this tale is a quiet boy boy who enjoys spending time near the river and swimming. One day, after swimming, he sees his grandpa (God in the painting) in the sky with his other relatives in the sky (all the other men and women behind God in the painting). The grandpa and relatives are now celestial beings floating in heaven. (Before residing in heaven, they were dead.)
Adam's Grandpa wanted to come to Adam because of a vision he saw. (In that vision, Adam was drowning. The end of the vision got cutoff, but all the grandpa saw was a glimpse of purgatory. Because of that vision, Adam's grandpa wanted to save his beloved grandson from going there.)
He plans to drag Adam into heaven with him before Adam dies. All the other relatives came to see how the plan would go. Adam's grandpa starts off by bringing his finger toward Adam. Adam responds by bringing his finger toward him. He wants to touch his beloved grandpa too.
