True Darkness

True Darkness

I have felt it...

Walls compose this flesh of mine

Made to arm my brittle conscience

Skin, hide, pelt, and all
Reach their breaking point

Bricks-carefully hardened red clay
Pieced together with cement
Try to keep strong and hold on

Rickety overall my tendons are
When just one tear-
A damp trickle from my eye
An increment harboring grief
Makes its way down

Such a cruel teardrop
Encouraging his kin
To plunder my confinement
Much far from comely built

My soul without the vital keys
Unprotected by portly waterfalls
Dozes upon crestfallen blues
While my only skeletal veil
Cascades by my prepotent dejected spirit
Compelling my unstable barricades
Into crashing time after time
During every macabre act

Pain officially enters
Unwanted anchor resting in my body

My world comes down
I fill with sorrow
I want this to end
The full dread right now

Ripple of water
Bigger circles to construct
Like my pain so expansive

I cannot take it again
But the cycle never stops

Agony destroys all light
From tender happiness
Therefore inviting in gloom
For consuming anyone desired

And this far is the strongest darkness
So relatable to many lost ones
Excluding complete shine
As real darkness is

Author's Note

Cascara (aka Sprint Goes Cascading!)
*sigh* I couldn't make this as passionate as I desired it to be.

Gotta try harder in my next write!

(I've written some better passionate writes in the past. TRUST ME.)

I would say this darkness at its best and very passionate! A great poem love, you don't hold out in this and tell it as it is, raw and devouring, a brilliant vivid piece xoxo

If this isn't passionate enough, I don't know what is. Crawling into the skin of darkness, into the solace of its depth and embrace, away from the world yet so in touch with it--- that, my friend, is the passion I felt reading this, and that you conveyed marvelously. Well done. Thank you for sharing

Not passionate enough? Hell girl...I beg to differ! Nice work!
