The Guy who stole Her heart

The Guy who stole Her heart

A Poem by cassie

He was the guy who could have anyone,

So why did he steal her heart?

She was the girl who was heartbroken,

Though she made delight look like an art.

He was the guy who thought he could read her,

So how did it turn out like this?

She was the girl who lived for the moment,

Every second, every breath, was bliss.

He was the guy who had the sharpest mind,

So, what did he hope he would gain?

She was the girl who just sat in the corner,

She was the girl who danced in the rain.

He was the guy who had it all laid before him,

So, when was he going to believe?

She was the girl who was so easily broken,

All because she wore her heart on her sleeve.

She was the girl who would have given him anything,

The moon, the stars, and the sun.

He was the guy who could have had everything,

And for a moment he did, now it’s done.

She was the girl who would have moved heaven and earth,

Changed the weather if he should command.

He was the guy who held her in the palm of his hand,

All he need do was make his demand.

She was the girl who danced in the moonlight,

She had sunshine dance in her eyes.

He was the guy who made so much sense to her,

But for something stupid he left her on ice.

She was the girl who cried under the starlight,

And had her prayers fall on deaf ears.

He was the guy who longed for something he never could have,

And lived in a world full of fears.
