A prayer for peace and calm

A prayer for peace and calm

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Too much violence and hate. Who will show us the way to peace?

"
A prayer for peace and calm

I pray daily God is watching and had concern. I saw the starvation in Africa and me and my unit dragged out 30 Christians beaten to death in Bosnian out of a river. Today my daughter graduated from High School and I wonder what did I leave for her with this world?  We need the world to change direction. There are no borders or religion when children are being killed and hungry.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Angels watch me through the night,
And wake me with the morning light.

You cannot change another race or country.  Old ways are erased by new generation and ideas.

When you murder my father, brother and destroy my country. Are you a friend or enemy?

Hate create more hate, violence create more violence. The bombs and guns send to nations in conflict have no concern for the people in the way of war. If you don't know. Great profit is made in war. Profiteer of hate and war control this world. Send food, water and medicine. Heal not kill.

"The children are the wealth of a nation. Teach them well. They are our future."

"War is man's sin. "      John Denver

                        My Prayer

I'm Ojibwa  in heart and I feel the earth crying.
I see children dying and not enough people are screaming against.
I saw once great cities. Destroyed. Where are the people who lived in these cities?
Starvation and sickness killed millions of children yearly.
Who will cry for the children?

I raised my hands to the sky.
I do a silence prayer for peace and calm.
I burn the sage by the river.
I pray we stop the blood. I close my eyes and all I can see.
Is more blood a-coming.

Now I lay near the river.
I pray to the Gods of the river, the sky and the good earth.
Play send wisdom to our leaders.
War doesn't lead to peace.
Peace is create by great people. Who stand for love and kindness.
Enough of war. No-more war.

I don't want my child to go to war. Do you?
How much blood and hate is enough??

Heal not kill.

This is heavy. I understand the sights that make one ask how human beings can do such things to one another. Sometimes I hope that the youth will understand that we need them for all of this killing and put an end to it by refusing to fight. One of the hardest realities of life is when you make it out of some Hell you were dropped off in long ago and look down on it for the last time knowing that not a damn thing has changed. This is provocative work.
