Nothing will last forever

                            Nothing will last forever

She sat alone. Her lingering tears falling down her beautiful face. I have told her often. Nothing last forever. Even the strongest love weaken to just memories of things that are lost and can't be found.

I forgot to tell her. The irony of love is. The goodbyes  are written and engraved on the walls of our hearts forever.
The allure of love make us fearless and foolish, than can vanish and be absorbed by life and bad actions.

Today she asked me. Where did the crazy man of yesterday disappear to?   Where did my desperate lover who yearned for my touch and kiss go? Why is love vengeful and cold?

I told her. Like all dreams and goals. They fade away to become distance memories in a life where you fall upon unknown places and lose your direction. Can't find the place of peace and honor.

She come to me and he shook me and then she embraced me. She whispered you can't run from dead things, old wars and faded memories of love. Life is to be lived. We must take chances, dare and tease the Gods of love with long embraces and allowed the bad days to lay dead and forgotten. What we do today is what matters.

I kissed my lover and brought her closer. I whispered to her. You are my sweetest dream, brought tranquil and calm to a mad man. I will stay if you want me here.  Sweet woman kissed my forehead and than my lips. She whispered love is fragile and tender. I want you here with me in the good days and bad day. I want you here to keep me safe and warm in the cold of the Winter nights. Please stay with me and let us plant a garden of hope and possibilities.

I told her. I will stay with you. You have saved me once and left me breathless and hopeful when you came into my life. I'm sorry for falling to old misery and bad places. I need you my dear lover. You are my sweetest friend.                          Coyote/John Castellenas

John this is a beautiful poem that reads like a fable - its very well communicated.
There is an earthing here - in the title and throughout; a healthy philosophical bent with regards to the nature of relationships. Its one I can take something away from as Im sure can many who read this.
Thank you for sharing this. Well done.

You are always welcome,dear poet.
Being fearless and foolish is not such a bad thing.....it allows us to give of ourselves completely. The lust and passion of a new love does wane, but true love does not disappear. There is such compassion and understanding in every line of this write. Very lovely, John. Lydi**

A very emotional piece of writing. Yes, love is hard work sometimes but it is worth it. I'm glad you listened to her and stayed. In a world of pain and darkness, it is love, real love that stands the test of time, that gets us through. When we have someone to struggle with who will forgive us our faults and we forgive theirs. This is a very impressive write.

You are most welcome.
Whew, well that is good she was able to convince him again! I think it is a natural human frailty to hesitate and fear love at times of desperation and misery. We are lucky when we have a better half who can ground us back to reality and shoo all our insecurities away. We must think of them too, how hurtful it must be for them when we try to run away every time, but how patiently and unconditionally they take it all. True gems in life. Very lovely write! Thank you for sharing.

I did find a few grammar errors here and there.
On paragraph five:
You meant to write: She came to me and shook me and then she embraced me.
On parapgraph six:
You meant to write: Please stay with me and let us plant a garden of hope and possibilities.
And also I'd like to suggest maybe to add direct quotations when your protagonists speak, so that it will be easier for the reader to distinguish dialogue from narration. Or you can even italicize the dialogues without direct quotations, to make it more interesting! That is all up to you of course :).
