Consequences

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words

"
                                          Consequences
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do love you, love you like the wild sea, love you like the California mountains.
You and I.
I am Lake Huron and you are the Pacific.
We cannot ever meet,
If I had you near.
I would stop my life and run away with you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Consequences of seeing your face,
holding your hands and sharing a cup of coffee,
make me loco and I know.
You are my wishing well wish,
you and I,
fire and water,
wrong place and different story.
After I saw your beautiful face,
those beautiful eyes.
I knew,
I was destine to love you forever.

A very eloquent expression of all consuming love. You have many great images here. I liked the picture of the Huron and Pacific never meeting.
You have one or two typos - the line after should be 'we cannot ever meet' but no big deal.
Very true from the heart John.
Regards.

Fire and water. Opposites, and yet they say opposites can attract. Romantic thoughts here Coyote. Beautiful lines.

Thank your dear Chris. Water would kill the fire? Maybe a second of glory.

Thank you for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
Reading this reminds me of James Taylor's 'Fire & Rain', the wistful romance...the longing...inherent in these words.
You write about love and emotions as well as anyone I've read on this site & many others.
The last line...typo...destined.

A good write, John.

Beautiful poem. Loved the language and the use of loco. I would have quoted the lines that I loved but just realized that all the lines are equally liked ( rather loved) by me. Great work dear friend :)

Beautiful forlorn and unrequited this 'love' is so well described in the amazing line "I am Lake Huron and you are the Pacific." Brilliant Coyote!
