She danced barefoot by the Clinton River..

She danced barefoot by the Clinton River..

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Awakening my sleeping muse.

"
She danced  barefoot by the Clinton River..
A beautiful woman danced alone by the Clinton River, her feet allowing the movement of the river,
to caress her feet. The sun, sun-kissed her beautiful face and I could see the joy in her eyes.
She stirred my heart, she stirred my pen to write and she made a June afternoon. Perfect.
I watched her run deeper into the river, laughing and knowing happiness.
I sat on a park bench near and I adored her. She gave me a loving glance and she told me.
Men, who wait for the splendor of the running river flowing into the Lake St. Clair.
May never know the soft hands or kiss of a kind lady.
I rose-up and I went to her and we danced into the deepness of the river.
She told me. My lover, my kindest friend, never forget.
We found our love near Lake St. Clair when the moon and sun kissed at dust and
we allowed our love to expand to a glorious place with the stars above.
We kiss and we don't tell. We wander to the river and the lake and
We pray for more.
