April is poetry month. Poem number seventeen.

Once upon a Summer day..

She was the kindest and pretties gal in Monterey.

I called her, my lady of the sea.

She called me, the angry man.

Who needed to find the free road , his smile, his laughter again..

Once upon a Summer day, she told me.

Please Johnnie. Take me with you to Big Sur,

please Johnnie, come to my home and

I will teach you to dance again, to smile again.

We will create a place of forgiveness and

every night. We will dance for the Pacific and drink sweet wine.

I asked her. Can all things be forgiven?

She gave me some paper and she told me.

Please write down your sin and misery.

Tonight we will go to the sea and we will burn the paper.

Release the sin and misery to the Pacific Ocean.

Dear Johnnie. You must forgive yourself and seek some kind of salvation.

I took her hands and we kicked off our shoes.

I took her to the dancing sea and we danced.

I told her. Thank you my lady of the sea.
