My lady

My lady

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

A old poem written by a sad heart.

"
                               My lady

My lady,
I still cry out in sweet dreams your name.

So long since our lips had touched.
I still wish upon a star,
to be able to look into your eyes.

I wish to awake with your body near.
To put my face into your long blond hair.
Be intoxicated by my love for you.

I wish to hold your tender hands on a walk by the lake.
Two  young titans with love as our shield.

My lady of joy and happiness.
Allow me to remember you sweetly.
For only in your arms did I feel complete.

Salvation I cannot find.
The knife of disappointment is cutting away my tenderness.
Your love is the only loss I can't get over.

My lady,
dressed in white.
Your long blond hair flowing in in the gentle breeze.
I dreamed you were whispering.
"I will only love you."

I have tried to erase your memory.
The memory is tattoos on my heart.
Paradise is rarely touched in a life.

Youth is the greatest high.
We were babies making great dreams happen.
Paradise of candles and the heat of love.
I didn't know sweet dreams would break my heart forever.

My lady of tenderness.
Your beautiful face will not be forgotten.
You were my first true love.

A sweet memory upon a old heart today.

AWWWWWWWW This is so beautiful, written with such tenderness and love.
Well gosh Coyote I felt tears welling up.
People always tell us to put the past behind us and move on, well in my opinion that is easier said than done. Some things or some people in our past are hard to put behind us, and to forget well I just dont see how that can happen. But I do see looking at those things and people as a positive thing. Looking into the past and smiling, at the good things the good times, the sweet and loving memories should not be forgotten.

Great poem Coyote
Thanks so much for sharing with me.

Such a heartrending write. It is really sad to miss someone you loved so much, and wishing that she was still here so that you continue to live like you used to. If only we could go back to the past and live it all again, but we know it is not possible. And it is even harder to live our life thinking about the past, and wondering if one day we will be able to erase that memory that is haunting us. This poem has a romantic, yet heartbreaking touch.
Lovely write.

this poem sort of mimicked one of my favorite singer's style: Sade. Especially the part about "the memory is tatoos (tattooed) on my heart." Sade sings a song about, "your love is like...a tatoo." Kudos to letting me read a poem that also mimicked my fav singer and poetic lyricist. thanks.

I would love to choose a ''favorite'' part of this, but it was so emotionally-charged and overwhelming that I just loved the whole thing!

I love it. Some one telling about a love for another is beauitful. It also makes me think of my uncle who just lost his wife in a car accident, I'm going to show he this he might like it

A lovely poem. Very sweet. I did notice a small thing:

I have tries (tried) to erase your memory.
The memory is tattoo on my heart. - is a tattoo or is tattooed, though this line isn't quite necessary since the line before it already gives us the message that the memory of her is forever stamped on your heart.

Very sweet words, Coyote.
