Urge

Urge

A Poem by Cassie Black
"

Always keep your head up

"
The urge to close the door
To hide inside my room
Escape from the hollow roar
Outside-consumed with gloom

The urge to laugh and smile
To overcome the aching abyss
It works for a little while
I crave these moments of bliss

The urge to cry but no tears fall
To release the floods inside
As I drown in it all
Still no tears are cried

The urge to be something real
To remove the nothing within
Pain is all I can feel
And it's all I've ever been

These words just feel like written with honest emotions and so they run so smoothly like they are nothing but perfect ..each stanza just touched me deeply the way it was meant to , ..Gorgeous Work !

Thanks you so much that means so much to me that you liked it
I feel as I can associate with this. Sometimes you just need "you" time for comfort and peace and to sort through all the confusion... but that may not always be the cure. This piece is very powerful to me and in itself, it displays many things that have ran through my mind thousands of times. Great piece. Keep writing! :)
