A Scream For ExistenceA Poem by BolterpyreIn a collapsing world, With a falling society, Where the doomsday clock strikes one minute 'til midnight, And the foretold apocalypse is inevitable. Your presence, A reminder of fragmented normalcy, Innocence lost, Expunged euphoric memories. The anchor, To a distant past whence, Sweet dreams blossomed, A fuel and an inspiration to hope. Hope, A word equated to 'struggle', That even when chaos attempted to erase us all, Here we are, screaming for existence. You are the motivation, The driving force that energizes, To fight and gain such memories, Or to fight for others who wishes to. One day, maybe one day, If we lived through it all, We might watch the sunset in the horizon, Or die trying.
