Insecure

Insecure

A Poem by Chained_Voice
"

I wrote it when I was 14 for a close friend of mine at the time.

"

Your insecure,
But you seem calm.
Only I can tell,
In this green palm.

I set up here,
And watch your life.
You walk along the beach,
With your new wife.

She sees it to,
But not as well.
I see all of you,
I see you fail.

You cry everyday,
As you walk along.
But not when she’s here,
Then you sing a song.

But when you cry,
It lasts forever.
And I begin to think,
You’ll never get better.

The pieces come back,
Just like they were before.
And fit together,
Until once more.

The tears come again,
To the sand.
And I come down,
To give you a hand.

Then the tears fade,
And you yell at me.
For making you this way,
But how could it be.

I loved you not,
And touched you none.
Under the face,
Of this old sun.

But you yell at me more,
So then I take my leave.
Even though you need help,
I let you grieve.

Your so insecure,
You fear yourself.
So I just watch you,
My little elf.
