The Lighthouse Keeper

The Lighthouse Keeper

A Poem by Snail Mails
"

This poem captures the life of a lighthouse keeper, immersed in the solitary yet steadfast duty of guiding others amidst his contemplative existence on a remote coast.

"
In the stillness of dawn,
the lighthouse keeper wakes.
Alone.
His world, a symphony of crashing waves and whispering winds.
In solitude, he stands,
a guardian of light in the vastness.

Daybreak.
The sun, a fiery orb, ascends.
He watches, unblinking,
as the ocean dances in hues of gold and azure.
His heart, a fortress of duty,
beats in rhythm with the pulsing beacon.

Midday.
The sun reigns supreme.
In his tower, time stretches and bends.
Emotions ebb and flow like the tide,
his spirit anchored in steadfast resilience.
Solitude, his unwavering companion.

Dusk.
Shadows lengthen, embracing the shore.
His light - a beacon in the growing darkness.
Each beam a testament to his dedication,
illuminating paths for lost souls at sea.
In the gloom, his strength shines brightest.

Night.
The world sleeps, but he remains vigilant.
Under starlit skies,
he ponders the mysteries of the deep.
The lighthouse keeper, a solitary figure,
stands firm against the relentless waves.

Eternal.
The cycle repeats, day after day.
In his realm of isolation,
he finds a profound connection with the universe.
His existence, a blend of solitude and service,
a tribute to the enduring human spirit.
