Insecurities

Insecurities

A Poem by Childish Eccentricity
"

A quick thought on what plagues the youngsters of today

"
Many a time I think
Why am I like this?
When someone says I'm fat
I walk to the nearest mirror to see
Whenever someone ignores me
I begin to have a doubt
Am I not worth their attention?
Whenever someone screams at me
Am I really a fault here?
Whenever someone passes me by
Am I not worth a second glance?
Why don't they realize
That I just want to be me?

They themselves are insecure and want
To see others in a similar state
They do all they can to demean
Scorn and hurt others so that
They may convince themselves
Of their own adequacy
What many don't realize
Is that they are perfect
Made in God's image they were
And to Him they will return
He alone has a right to judge
As he alone truly knows us
For I am only me
And no one else can be
Anyone other than themselves
Remember that you are perfect
And love life free
Free of all worries
Free of all problems
Free of all negativity
Free of all insecurity.

For this one, there is no particular arrangement, or rhyme scheme or anything. I just felt like getting it out. Hope it's good.
