Lighthouse

A poem I first shared with Kelly.

I feel afraid when the sea crashes into my expectations. 

My fears and doubts, they ebb and flow, 

like the shoreline I walk upon.

I am still not certain what to do, 

but the need to do something, anything, 

pulls me away from the shore. 

My ship goes to sea again this day. 

But I will keep the lighthouse in sight,

just to be safe.

We all need to have a safe place....a lighthouse on the horizon....in order to make it through the craziness of every day. No one knows what tomorrow holds. Each day brings it with it its own "stuff". This poem brings with it a warm feeling for someone you trust and love. I liked it. Lydi**

It is often times those fears and doubts that pull our feet further down into the wet sands rendering us unable to escape. Our expectations and future paths can be treacherous and daunting, especially when grounded by the fears and doubts you mention.

Keep that lighthouse within you, no matter what good it represents. I'm sure it will guide you to a safer place.
