Nothing Else Like It

Nothing Else Like It

A Poem by Charley Dominic

Dappled sunlight and the fresh smell after rain,
Silent ripples on a mirror still lake,
The wind making the sand tumble, grain by grain,
Its beauty and there's nothing else like it,

Virgin snow, sunsets over the sea,
A silver cobweb covered in fresh dew,
Smooth amber honey made by a bee,
Its beauty and there's nothing else like it,

Old dolmen, rugged mountain hillocks,
Radiant stars in the night sky,
Bagpipes being played over a misty loch,
Its beauty and theres nothing else like it,

Gaulic speech, Stonehenge at the solstice,
A drop of water suspended on a leaf,
But then there's life, utter bliss!
Its beauty and there's nothing else like it. . .
