Of Blues

Of Blues

A Poem by Charlotte Grace

There she sat on her plain checkered bed
Warm white ceiling light shone on her yellow skin
Tracing the edges of her cheek to her chin
A wistful look etched on her face
With downcast eyes
She wrote... and wrote
About blues
Until hot tears trailed downwards
And she fell into a dreamless slumber.

So Charlotte Grace, Welcome to Writers Café. I see you mentioned that this was your first try of a poem or first try on this site. from reading this piece you have written here it is a nice flowing piece of poetry and appears to be a heart felt expressed piece. So after reading this it seems you must have written other pieces before this one? If not you are very talented. Please keep writing.
