At Last

Smile now, isn't it great how it makes you feel?
Why do you chase it away?
Is there something inside,
So bad it makes the feeling seem unreal?

If so, you're being lied to,
That is what needs to be let go
For there is nothing in this beautiful world
Or within this life that I don't know

I've seen the bad overcome the good
And I've helped sadness and pain grow
Time after time

Yet in the eyes above a smile
Which made my feelings flow
I opened my heart
To release all miseries
Making room for only good

So take a deep breath
Let it all out with a smile
Take a step forward
Accepting that it was there
Where we once stood

Now continuing on our way
Appreciating life for what it is
Sharing smiles day after day

Learning and teaching from the past
That once we find
Love, peace, and forgiveness from within
Forgiveness, peace, and love will come
Naturally within and from all others

I found such truth in this one. a smile changes you from the inside out. accepting life the way it is and finding a peace in it can be hard but it is important to accept and keep going. I really liked the last stanza where you flipped and repeated the same wording
