When Time Stands Still…

Time ticks and tocks upon the clock

The grains of sand fall through,

The simple moments of life we live

All that we thought we knew.

 

But what if we stand and gaze

Into the sands of time,

Think back to a place that once

Stood still a chance of time.

 

A time to know - a time to feel

A time for you and me,

A place to grow a chance to know

A freedom fantasy.

 

But now between the rocks and silt

The grains of sand we rest

The simple moments of life we lived

Now lay still beneath our breath.
