![]() This Simple LifeA Poem by Cherrie![]() the circle of love![]()
My mother’s curse lurks in my mind as a trembling finger I secretly spy. Unsteady steps shadow my walk. And at times I must concentrate just to talk. As with us all each day is one less, which cases me to ponder the day we first met. My hopes bloomed a new with your simple Hello.
I’ve had many a day to be your wife and the simple truth is we have shared a great life. Our time was spent living with hardly a fight. Sorrows though few we weathered as one, as our love spurred us on in this life we built for two.
Six children did we love and now seven more did they add in our little life that to me seems so grand.
I pray our love can lead them to a fairytale of their own. The warmth of your hand erases my thoughts. As the gleam in your eyes reminds me of the day we wed in this simple life we have lived.
Two is a number of a young person’s dream and then without warming again two it shall be.
