Death By Spring

Death By Spring

A Poem by Cherrie
"

Spring payes her last respects to Winter's passing

"

The retched tilting of the sun is changing everything.

Who can embrace her power and malice? Na there is none.

My days are not yet spent my time should not be gone.

Give me one last snowy blast, I cry, an icy cushion to wrap me tight.

Thermostat slowly climbs chocking out the chill.

I long for the taste of morning frost; crystal, clear and cold.

Ground of stone releases Autumn’s seeds and tender sprouts

break forth, and now the showers make everything green.

My winter’s dress is no more it is but a shroud.

Will no one morn my passing? Will none shed a tear?

Even the midnight hour  betrays me, with his warmth, and with that I that am Winter, is no more.

You have recognized the reality quite easily in the following verse.
"My winter’s dress is no more it is but a shroud."
You have enough popularity to mourn your passing.
Hence, you need not worry about shedding tears too.
For there will be too many for this around the world.
However, the following verse is a great question to be asked by
a nice person.

"Will no one morn my passing? Will none shed a tear?'

How strangely beautiful to read another person's thought about the seasons coming and going, the death of each one leading to another's birth as it nudges the previous beauty - whatever it was. Each season has precious gifts.. just as human beings need their times to rest, to rejuvenate, to perform and fade .. so too our world.

We have a time table but Mother nature doesn't and that is what makes weather unpredictable.
