Not Yet Come

Not Yet Come

A Poem by Cherrie
"

I guess some times you just feel like being blue

"

Many days forgotten, so many now repressed. They only live in darkness and in the night they cry “we won’t forget”.

Many tears have fallen to many now to catch. They are streams ever flowing but they never leave you refreshed.

Many hearts are broken like the ruble on the ground. Stones can be refurbished but you can never un-ring that bell.

Many suns have set and many moons have gone but for the land of the grieving a new day has not yet come.

Nana, is this the darkest you can sing?

I liked the feeling of aging and passing in this, sometimes it's just wear and tear, not like actually grieving for anything in particular.

I follow your words like a river I used to like, I know it leads back to the sea.

Memories and grieving all in one poem. You did a fine job of expressing them both.."for the land of the grieving a new day has not yet come." a hard truth with this line as well as this one , "Stones can be refurbished but you can never un-ring that bell."

Accepting our mundane state from time to time is a very difficult process.
You have managed to pack a lot of description and imagery into this short piece and that's why you are an Artist condensing the collage of life and emotion into a fine scripted thought. Beautiful.
