Butterfly

Butterfly

A Poem by Frontier

Butterfly in reverse,

 a disintegration reserved

for angels.

Diamond stigmata spanning

through green-black

foliage, our temples.

“The thing is I’ll wake up and won’t remember”

These arrows inside

will collide like two atoms,

a breathing

tomb.

Upon exposure,

I freeze,

causing  Master

Instant a shivering fit,

It saying

“How dare my subject try and exceed me.”

Two hearts resurrecting,

wondering,

diving.

Two hearts inspecting,

dissecting,

a non-invasive surgery.

“I’ll wake up and won’t remember”

Slipping, slipping,

a moon

rising, later and later

The rain falling

greyer and greyer

entire insides,

one big hemorrhage,

bruises wearing

 shells the size of

tortoises

Faces gushing,

swarming,

bees quieter

than ghosts.

While inside,

 it's Rio de Janeiro,

the day of the dead

and a “by invite only”

masquerade,  all-together.

After being,

fighting in the Crusades

and assisting a community bar-b-que

walking on the grass, blowing bubbles

I’m gazing,

stars, planets, moons and suns

atoms, particles, electrons,

oceans of fire, black-holes,

endless waterfalls, darkness,

close-up smiles, veins,

It’s me, it’s you, it’s me, it’s you

I’m gazing

I'm still debating about the ending, not sure it it's too "abrupt". Input is welcome. Thanks.

I personally loved the ending. It brought all of the thoughts together nicely. This poem was great. I really enjoyed this today.

You're most welcome my dear...
I was just taken thourgh a journey . Let me gather some composure as it would be in musicall terms. Adrenalized!. The narrative here or rather the thread created is of a of a meeting of somone that you obviously have feelings for and that simplistic way of looking at things does not serve justice to the writing because the descriptions that serve as the guide through this fully charged journey are a thing to behold. " How dare my subject exceeds me" it is in itself a moment of wondering. Who is exceeding who? Is that a presence or a who? and it is precisely that question which keeps you on your toes. But it still feel like that moment where you climb on the rollercoaster. "i'll wake up and not remember" is an unsettling moment as I said no way! . I will remember. And down we go after that, those with vertigo hold on.

In the end it is not clear to me the nature of the meeting nor it needs to be but what I do know is yes that was amazing just like the ending and no is not abrupt.

Thankyou
