This Is My Life.

This Is My Life.

A Poem by Chesney W.

Walking. Yes.

Talking. No.

     I do not speak,

for I will be sentenced another 10 years.

The jail's guard stalk me at night time.

Watching my every move.

Never taking his eyes off of me.

Never blinking.

These prison walls are closing in on me.

They're crushing my bones.

Killing my insides.

The air is thinning,

     suffocating me.

Emotionally, mentally, physically.

I am dying.

This is my life.
