teenage dreams

teenage dreams

A Poem by Chesney W.
"

I like this guy that I'm friends with. He's really cute and a really awesome person.

"

Another day

in my teenage life.

Wishing, like every other teen,

that he would like me the same way.

I see him when he's working,

I see him when he's not.

He's adorable.

But he's not mine.

Maybe soon he will be.

I like him,

he's different.

He's not like everyone else.

He listens to different music,

reads different things,

acts different in character.

He's just all-together different,

but that's why I like him.

His dark curly hair,

and his beautiful eyes.

Talking to him isn't the same

as talking to anyone else.

I like thinking about him.

Thinking that one day I'll be his.

It's just another day in this

teenage life.
