I Think You Love Me

I Think You Love Me

A Poem by c.m.
"

From the male point of view of a delicate situation.....

"

Your face is rimmed in sunlight and auburn hair

Pink lips revealing a smile to take on the stars

Your hand dripping water, wanting mine gently

My eyes fall back on the river stones not to see

Your skin is reflecting the orange moonlight in my eyes

Sleeping eyes; black feathered lashes resting on your cheeks

Your hand resting hard on my thigh, making me feel

My eyes close and head roll back to bite my tongue

Your voice is dripping honey on my quivering lips

Tongue pressing your teeth as you whisper you want me

Your hand on my face, thumb caressing my chin to calm

My eyes water, head falls weary on your chest to refuse

From the male point of view of a delicate situation.....there's been some confusion, so let me say that the title is from the male perspective as well...not sure I did so well with the male perspective, suggestions welcome.

Let me tell you that I could not tell the poem was from a man's perspective, but maybe that's because I read your poems knowing a girl has written them and I can only assume you give your point of view :)

Very descriptive as always. You are growing into a romantic/maybe erotic writer. Only time will tell ;P

Nicely done.

Interesting idea. I think you kind of hit the nail on the head with the title. Nicely done.

A waterfall of passionate imagery. I could really sense the caution in the narrator or voice of the poem in the last line or final line of each stanza. This really brought out the whole males don't show or rarely show their "softer" or emotional side tone of the poem. Well done.

I don't know. The emotion of accepting love into a life leave us grounded and very content. A well written story. Total poem was outstanding.
