Life in the eyes of a brown personA Poem by AdelitaThis poem talks about the many struggles a brown person has to go through throughout life.Life in the eyes of a brown person I go outside, I step aside. Don't get in the way or they will shoot you in the head. We walk in fear when the police come near. We have done nothing wrong yet they point their guns on us. They say they're trying to be nice then they feel the need to call ICE. Ripping us away from our family people say we are the ones to be feared yet they hunt us like we are deers. We walk down the street hoping to be left in peace. For once in our life we don't want to be always checking behind our back. Life in the eyes of a brown person. © 2018 AdelitaAuthor's Note
