What is "Happiness"

It can take one a lifetime to become happy, but does one truly understand happiness and where it is drawn from.

What makes us happy

a physical connection

where skin meets skin

as we melt together

in the mist of steam and sweat.

Magical moments of sunrise

while sun births new rays

casting your beauty into shadows

that caress my own

as they dance across the Earth.

Or a simple state of mind

one can only reach

after pains suffocation

leaving only time for light

and the love of yours truly.
