Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Jessica Faith
"

Poem was written in honor of two of my closest friends (more like family) who were murdered August 10, 2015.

"

If there is life after death,

no one life is forever gone.

For that moment as they take their last breath,

we try to forever hang on.

It is hard to let go,

but we know we have to.

For the person we know,

passes on to somewhere new.

Only gone temporary,

we keep them locked in our memory.

We will meet again,

sooner or later.

Hopefully in a more peaceful den,

and for the crater in your heart will amend.

This temporary misplacement,

will not be their forever detainment.

We can only live in their image,

until we get past this scrimmage.

Love is not lost,

it never will be.

For when we have finally crossed,

only then we are free.

Sorry for your loss. The sound does echo a tone of hope in a sad circumstance. I like that. I think we all need hope, as for me I think sometimes we can lose the meaning of life when we have lost all hope. That a wonderful peace

Hope is all we have anymore. We have to stay positive and live for the lost. Thank you so much.
