I am her ; She is Me

I am her ; She is Me

A Poem by Laconic Meraki

She stands in the shadows, her eyes up at the moon.
Facing a battle deep within and she refuses to loose.
She's comforted by the dark;wild and crazy heart. 🖤
The stars remind her of herself for they remain the same.
Hiding when the sun illumimates only coming out to shine once it's light fades.

she feels comfort in writing because she can refer to herself in third person...distance herself from who she is afraid she is...
and yet in the end..first person or third, they are the same person...she is...
both her and me...and for the reader, probably us.

Lovely writing. The dark is comforting to some, for various reasons. I like the way you express this feeling.

I love all the ways you describe this person's relationship with herself. It feels like an invitation to get to know this person's inner wild child or spontaneous passion. I love how it could feel like the narrator is discussing her relationship with herself, but it can also be a third-person observation. Makes me want to write a poem, referring to myself in third person cuz I love the way it sounds (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I like the perceptiveness. The Stars stay away from the brightness of the sun ......the star reminds her of herself? This is well thought out stuff. I like it. It's nice.

There is nothing more glorious than the countless stars.
