Love's Fool

Love's Fool

A Poem by Bailey B.
"

I don't know really where this came from I just write when something comes to me :)

"

This evening was bliss

But I was a fool

To allow that kiss.

Now here I am

Thinking my thoughts

Wanting to block them with a dam.

Why is love this way?

So gripping and pulling

Distracting me all day.

I can't lie.

I like the feeling,

As if it's an emotional high.

But I am...afraid.

I fear that this will be short

And that this love will fade.

Am I being a fool now?

How can I tell?

Oh love tell me how!

Love. Yes that's it!

This is no mistake

For I have been hit!

Hit by Cupid's arrow!

If I feel so strongly

Then this love shouldn't narrow!

I am not love's fool

But much more!

I'm love's tool!

A tool used to love one

One who loves me!

My thoughts are clear and done!

No more fear of future or past.

For this love is mine and his

And it will last!
