I am confined within myself, Never to be free, Like a clown who helps us laugh, Sadly, me; just me; I could have been a physician, Patching up the sick; Or, maybe, a mysterious magician, Playing a mystical trick, But I am only a writer of poems; Bad, at my best; Not like an operator, on the phones, Answering each request; Yet, I do what I feel I should; Why I cannot see; I guess, it's not important to be good, As long as I am me. © 2011 Christina May ShanabergFeatured Review
