just a word

just a word

A Poem by Chyla

it is just a word to him.  Just a word that to me, is everything.  It is a smile when I am down, it is a shoulder to cry on when I can no longer hold back, it is a joke when all I need is to smile.  Does it mean much to him when he says it?  Cause to me it means the world, it means there are still stars in the sky, still gods in the Heavens.  It means there is still hope for the hopeless, still joy for the joyless.  I wonder at times if it is genuine when he says it, is it coming from the depth of his heart no one else can see, no one else can feel?  It is sacred, something he only feels for me.  Love, it is just a word... but what does it truly mean?
