Own Constellations.

Own Constellations.

A Poem by Lana Bimbi
"

I need to start living by my words.

"

To think of oneself as an image of God,

Most simply cannot fathom.

Yet we marvel at the stars and moon,

Some of Gods most notable creations.

-

And yet we’re just as unique as those stars,

and our beauty as bright as the moon’s.

So why is it that we can’t appreciate this?

Why can’t we believe this is true?

-

Next time you complain of your freckles and scars,

look at them as constellations.

And when you lose someone you love,

remember a star’s light burns on for generations.

Touching and once again profound. I am amazed by this, mostly by its content and the way you used the moon and stars to compare to our bodies. It could use a little rhythm revision but I could surely overlook that by how amazing the content is. Your writing deserves so much more recognition.
