My beloved Set me Free

My beloved Set me Free

A Poem by Blood_knight3000

I see a bloody mess,

The rage could not be suppressed

No more regrets

My beloved lies in a red mess.

Confused,

I stand there waiting

For it to end.

Realization sets,

I’ve destroyed that which

 caused my misery.

The only way out was

To let my rage free,

Sadly,

T’is was my beloved who

Paid the price,

For me to finally be free…

Love can bear such great sacrifice. Sometimes they stand before each other, and their eyes plead, 'do you see me?" And at some point, one turns and looks away. This poem cut through me, I surely can relate. Thank you, dear poet.

Favorite! I really liked this one. It has a dark tone and reminds me of Titanic for some reason. Only this one is better.
