Savior

Savior

A Poem by Saturnalia
"

Tell me how to save you so I can remove the blade from your skin.

"

As I watch,

Blade touches skin,

Blood mutely falls,

In this unbearable sin.

I silently gaze,

Biting my lip,

And you then decide,

To tighten your grip.

Where is your heart?

Do you know what you've done?

You've created this sorrow

That can't be undone.

Then it will spread,

To all you love,

Only to realize,

The lack thereof.

Still no regrets.

You're in too deep

To look back now,

And begin to weep.

Pity and sorrow;

Together they mix.

If only I could help,

And find a fix.

To close your wounds,

To be a friend,

And all I want,

Is for this to end.

But I cannot undo

What you create,

I know in the end,

I'll be too late.

So as you continue

With this behavior

I wish I could be

Your hopeful savior.

Saturnalia
Yep, one of my famous four-liners I've recently found in the mess I call my files. Very short. The important thing about poems is making it flow. You have to focus on the syllables. This poem is very depressing, but a wise man said 'letting go doesn't mean giving up, it just means accpeting what cannot be.' I wrote this for a few friends of mine who are the ones who mar their wrists with lines of red. Ah, so review and tell me what ya think.
