Even After I Die

Even After I Die

A Poem by KJ

Awaken my mind,

But let me sleep.

Unrest my soul,

Don’t dig too deep.

Be a companion, lover, and friend.

Be with me until the end.

Get new ideas,

Share the peace.

Anger me now,

Then let it cease.

Pick me some flowers,

Some forget-me-nots.

Look to the clouds,

Up in the sky.

Grab my hand,

Make me fly.

Live out this life,

Here on Earth.

Follow me to Heaven,

Never leave my side.

I want to Love you,

Even after I die.

This is a good poem about what we want from our lives and what we want to continue after we are gone.
I like the nice short lines - a professor once told why use 10 words when five will do?
