songs of... no one

songs of... no one

A Poem by Daniel Atkinson
"

an abstract piece.

"

i choose to tread lightly

over fallen trees and homes.

lately there have been

far too many comings and goings,

far too many for my taste--

or, what taste is left.

acid still wears your teeth

and crows still prey, ever the subjects of

convenience.

these are truths,

but do not take them at face value,

for a bee cannot live

while it yet stings.

This one's abstract, like my poems are from time to time. Feel free to look for a deeper meaning, but there isn't one.

Strangely enough, there is the connection of "what's the point?" and "if so, why does it matter". The "I don't give a s**t" attitude is strong in this piece and that far from a bad thing. You excel at pieces like this, despite the fact that there are meanings in this work that aren't there.

Again nice work.

I really like this piece. It is very light and flows well. :) Can't wait to read some more of your work.
