The Siege

The Siege

A Poem by Comewhatevermay
"

In remembrance of my friend Joshua Tabares

"
On the days when you find yourself treading water
On the days you find you can scarcely breathe
If you can find it in you... I beg you to reach
Reach beyond the walls that barricade your fortress
Reach out for a hand to hold through the seemingly endless night
I know it isn't easy, but I plead you... continue to fight
Fight against the self doubt that seeks to tear you down
Fight until you find a hold to reach higher ground
I know you're tired... I am too, but if you can, please, try
I'd try for you
