Won't Let You Fall

Won't Let You Fall

A Poem by Jills
"

Inspired by the song "Keep Holding On" by Glee which is a cover of Avril Lavigne's song

"

Half-there smiles

litter the ground

as you step carefully

making sure not to crush them,

for just one simple touch

causes a chain reaction

as the half-there smiles

completely fall apart.

With a hand reaching out

for comfort and strength,

those half-hearted smiles

seem to disappear

becoming fuller, brighter,

and full of hope

from having a friend.

So keep holding on

until you find that reaching hand

to save you from the crumbles

that try to bring you down

to a terrifying end.

Stay strong,

and just remember

I’m here for you,

ready to lend you my hand

not willing to let you

fall apart under my watch,

as we keep going on.
