He's Not Worth It

He's Not Worth It

A Poem by Jills
"

If i'm not worth the fight than neither is he.

"

It’s over

& I just can’t help

but look back and wonder

what the hell was I thinking?

It all seemed good for a while,

sharing all those loving smiles

and laughter ripping out the seams

and talking together at night

bringing lovely dreams.

But then it all turned upside down,

him stringing me along

just because he can

and he’s just plain stupid

not worth the title

of being called a man

He’ll be missing out

on this heart of gold

and treasures untold

like chocolate chip cookies

fresh from the oven.

But then again,

he didn’t like chocolate anyways.

Maybe I should’ve known from the start

to never ever trust someone

who has a dislike for chocolate.
