Introversion

This is my first post in this community, so please be charitable. I hope it's something good. I hope it's relatable enough.

Inside my walls
here I feel:
safety, security, warmness
like a bird
tussled in her
nest, above redwood,
forgetting her fear.

Here I feel
strong; just watching
people roam. Free
from bruises, free
from my life’s;
tripping, stumbling, falling.
Comforting fire, me.

The draining ocean
kept at bay.
Walls of rest,
from all the
ocean’s untiring waves.
Wept, the last
time I fell
hard again; ran
back the fortress.
Solitude, I cling
refuge, away from
the cold, fast
world thrown at
Me; confusing, wearing.

Within my walls,
dark, falls a
night of silhouette.
The only face
that peeks is
the moon, him
I trust him.

Everyone couched asleep.
You and me,
I may come
out; or not
from these walls.
Here I feel
like a bird,
tussled in her
nest.

I can relate well enough my dear friend, since I spent most of my time inside my room, in my own created and private world, what people don't understand that I wasn't unsociable, but sociable with the persons I must be with, not wasting time listening to other shallow people, to be inside my own room, being my own self is for sure much better, to dream, to imagine, to think, to soar, to get strength, to even fall, cry, weep be in pain then rise up again... to create thoughts, feelings, words... in this treasured solitude.

From Your first poem here, I say You are deep, sensitive and thinker, and never ever listen to others when they accuse You with You solitude, show them what You are capable to do from it, a profound thoughtful piece, expressing life from the eyes of a thoughtful witness, bless You so warmly*
