I dreamt of angels

I dreamt of angels

A Poem by Cass Ashe

Upon a sudden and overpowering doze

In the dazzling light of a midday snowstorm,

I rested my head and went numb to my toes

As the choir in my head began to perform.

Vast skies and puzzling structures around

Littered the landscape of the strange dreamland

Where shadows of angels passed over the ground

But looking up to them gave my eyes a fiery brand.

I dreamt of angels panicked and saddening,

Frantically flying to places I couldn’t find,

Speaking in tones my ears found maddening,

Repeating a message that shattered my mind.

Until I woke clear and the words were strung so,

The angels told me “go to nemean halo.”

Quite epic in its scope. And in going wonder at what to find and do when arrived at Theros.
