Defective

A Poem by CopingWithCaptainMorgan

mother, an addict
father, an enabler
myself, a product

advertisement reads,
"Give it a try! Push all the buttons, it'll never break!"
disclaimer reads,
"Lifetime guarantee void and producers not liable to replace when product is used for means other than intended."
fine print reads,
"Value diminishes after purchase."

manufactured
sent off
labels printed too small to read
the ad looked great though
