RAIN

RAIN

A Poem by Beyond_The_Rainbow

I yearn for the rain which kisses my skin so softly,
Comforting my heart which aches awfully,
It seems like I can never fix this,
To forget you is all that I wish.

You promised me a heaven on earth,
But how much was it really worth?
The same lips I once kissed,
Deceived me, did you really exist?

I yearn for that same rain to take me away,
Let me cry in it's cold embrace,
My soul won't stop bleeding,
Until my heart stops beating.

I gave you the sky,
And you stole the stars,
So just let me have a bit of rain,
To wash away the memories and pain.

Sadness written in and with such gentle and beautiful language. Your meter doesn't waver yet your 'tale' is sadly very clear. Take care, keep safe; wishing you hope.
