Pendulum

Pendulum

A Poem by Corset

Our days deemed full of freakenomic debt,
"GOD..."he says
can change the ring upon her finger,
the lid is upside down
full blown on forgiveness
and he is agony reading the news
he won't stay there
not for you
but because he must
he is a poet
every ounce a writer
and you know
 every little thing
will get better
as you are about to embark
on an adventure,
as hope,
 in the garden of Eve
once in a while
the moon shines for us all
pages will flicker in its midnight glow
for a moment
he'll remember cause and causation
reality will blip and time skips a beat
as you dole out 30 dollars
for the sketching  Psychic
to tell you how
 remarkably identical you look
to your deceased mother,
(who has pushed her way forward
past the spirit guide to be seen
and heard, the one you listen to
every night and for whom
you really wanted the sketch of )
She will tell you that six- foot -two men
who you do not notice, will want to date you, and in the next breath tell you
as she off handedly mentions that the spirit guide
"is vertically challenged"
after which she will present to you
a side by side sketch
of blank penciled faces
and a
quote
"to trust again and open your heart"
parenthesized  by two perfectly color filled
Pendulum red hearts.

The world goes around, love comes and goes and hearts beat until it is time take your place in God's kingdom.

this sounds like Trust and believe in love again, but beware of the poet...he must love in ephemeral fashion so that he may write about the sadness of the leaving.
i like the Vertically Challenged part with the side by side blank faces.
fill it in yourself...put those two hearts side by side.
Love swings like a pendulum...
can we trust it?
