The Reservoir

The Reservoir

A Poem by Corset

                                                                                  The Reservoir

It was supposed to be
but every day
is a new skeleton
a place to dip my toes into the
pool of ashes

It may come alive again
we may make it dance
with our bullet tongues

every new damn day
is a returning ghost
some
"Once upon a wreck-tangled rope
at the bottom of SpongeBob Ocean"
drowning in liquid devastation
Maybe,
once upon a time.

It's seemingly all in square (K)nots
I'm more likely to be the reincarnation of Mr. Magoo
but I know somehow,
it will all blindly work out
probably
 just by dumb luck.

I love the reference to spongebob and Mr Magoo to make your point.

We do tend to repeat our mistakes but every so often ate works in our fVOR.

ty Dale :D
can "once upon a time" become "happily ever after"?
What a war it is to get there sometimes...
my square knots always became granny knots instead...and then untied themselves.
love does that...
the "liquid devastation" the tears...

I like the last stanza.....we cannot force it, steer it...love will work out as it will, if it will...
and it may feel like dumb luck.
