My love, the ghost

My love, the ghost

A Poem by Corvus612
"

ok, so, my bed made a weird sound last night so I decided to make something of it.

"

She cries when I move,

Her terror haunting my days,

"Why would she do this," I pondered

Looking back at the error of my ways.

Doesn't she know I could never leave her,

I'd do nothing to see her cry,

I'd give my all, and all is none

to see her dry her eyes.

My love, my pet, whom I've created,

walking in my shadow,

following the steps I take in our lost forgotten meadow.

She stalks so lightly trailing behind me as if I'm soon to leave,

I can't soon escape her clenching fate,

my soul so longs for her it drags her behind me on this path through the neverending wood.

One day shall we stop so that I may explain the plan I have for us,

to load upon that long, black train so none may follow us,

We'll be alone for once, forever, the two of us alike.

I'd hold her in my arms and mutter promises through the endless night.
