Unity

Unity

A Poem by Kelly A. Brown

My TV is playing memories

I've never

had before.

Feeling the divide

brings me closer to sitting in the

graveyard

drinking beers and

calling old friends and

pondering all those feeling that

I haven't yet

felt.

Unity

is the

place

where the mountions meet the ridges

and the Valley allows the stream,

where the river runs through

forests and clouds move

through the sky

effortlessly,

seamlessly together

like the bay becomes the

open

Sea.

Silently, I stare

as

I see people walking talking

smiling crying

talking silently

always on the brink of

making

sweet

suburban

memories
