As You Sleep

This is reminiscent on my views of the PTSD I've been dealing with. Panic attacks, nightmares, and the like x.x

Watching over as you sleep
Nightmares always stay
Bloody watered eyes do weep
Until light of day

Throughout the night I am here
Keeping tight your soul
Vicious entity appear
Dreadous Black Patrol

Stares at you with fangs dripping
Never ceasing reign
Paranoia gains slipping
Composure to feign

In darkest corners demons hide
And watch for their ticket inside.

impressive.......great piece..
but i really wanted to read further....
kinda advice..you should extend it more coz, when my incandescent interest stern ed..it was like ended...
don't bother for what i spoke..just my opinion..

Thanks so much for the review! Just wanted to say that as another point I was trying to make through this in the ending. The abrupt ending where the poem seems at it's climax; leaving the reader wanting more. Sort of a stylistic thing I was trying! Thanks so much xx :)

wow... Dark, looming, and ever-mysterious. I love the tone; informative, foreboding, but also fearful. I absolutely adore this stanza:

"Stares at you with fangs drippig
Never ceasing reign
Paranoia gains slipping
Composure to feign"
